For thirteen years, the Koala kindergarten and children’s center has been operating in Vinohrady, located in a pleasant environment near Rieger Gardens right next to the U Draka playground. At Koala, we emphasize an individual approach to each child and draw inspiration from Scandinavian educational methods.
Our days begin with physical activities, we speak English every day, use all our senses, and learn through experience. The most important thing for us is to ensure that children enjoy each day to the fullest.

Karolína Salomonová

I have been enjoying working with children for 15 years. Studying special education has shown me the key to children's souls and their needs. I was an elementary school teacher and later I started focusing on preschool education. My inspiration comes mainly from the Scandinavian school systems.
I am a mom of young children and two dogs. Therefore, I know how parents struggle with their own worries and have to figure out how to give their children love, fun and education while being a relaxed parent. That's why I think of Koala as my home and my mission.
Terez
She has been working at Koala since 2021 and has extensive experience with children from an early age. In the past, she led various extracurricular clubs and gained valuable experience while working at Klokánek. Since 2023, she has been working full-time at Koala, focusing on the development and support of the children. In her free time, Tereza enjoys sports and traveling.
Viki
Viki has been working at Koala since 2023. She gained her experience not only during her studies but also while working at a kindergarten for children with mental disabilities. Thanks to her empathy and ability to understand children's needs, she is often chosen as a favorite teacher by sensitive children. At Koala, she works full-time with the children, supporting their development and well-being. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and her doggie.
Týna
Týna has been working with children at Koala since 2023 and primarily focuses on developmental programs for children starting from 1 year of age. She has a great rapport with the youngest children and successfully teaches them independence. In her free time, she primarily engages in handball, which she has played all her life, and she also enjoys traveling.
Katka
Katka previously led a sensory play group at Koala, where she focused on developing children's sensory perception. During this time, she became a mother and also completed her education in lactation consulting. Now, expectant mothers benefit from her services even during the prenatal period, when she provides them with valuable advice and support. Just as she lovingly cares for our children, she is also a great support to their parents and our entire team.
Kája
A pedagogy student, Kája started at Koala as an intern, but her talent for working with children impressed us so much that we asked her to continue helping us in her free time. She quickly became an integral part of our team, and we believe she will one day become a full-time teacher at Koala.
